Julie trained as a nurse in the mid 1970's then spent some time being a full time mother. She returned to education in the mid 1980's qualifying with a Diploma in Integrative Therapy from the Central School of Counselling and Therapy.
Julie then went to the University of Newport to gain a second diploma in Integrative Therapy, followed in 1998 by a Masters Degree in Cognitive Behavioural therapy.
Julie had sixteen years experience in working as a counsellor in General Medical Practice before starting Swansea Therapy in 2008.
Julie’s love of teaching and training led her to gain a post graduate Certificate in education, she is a part-time lecturer in Counselling at Coleg Sir Gar and also arranges freelance training events.
Julie is an accredited member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy, and a member of British Association of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapists.
